How PSEG Long Island Saved Their Contractors 5,400 hours per year

After taking ownership of their HPwES program from NYSERDA in 2016, PSEG Long Island sought to improve both the contractor and customer experience by reducing the administrative burden for participating contractors. The utility needed a flexible and customizable solution that could handle both audit and contract programs, enable easy access to all data, restrict permissions appropriately on a per user basis, and most importantly, be able to get up and running as quickly as possible.

EnergySavvy’s Workflow Automation, or WFA, fit all of PSEG Long Island’s criteria and was able to launch the software in under 5 months–easily integrating into the utility’s existing systems. EnergySavvy’s WFA enables PSEG Long Island to optimize programs by creating a single system of record for all project-related information and makes that information available to contractors and program staff via a web based portal.

Now, 90% of PSEG Long Island contractors say they are more efficient with the new software. “Since implementing EnergySavvy’s Workflow Automation solution, PSEG Long Island reduced the administrative time required by contractors by 300%–enabling our contractors to spend more time in the field completing high-quality projects and increasing customer satisfaction,” said Steve Wagner, HPwES Program Manager for PSEG Long Island.
