EnergySavvy’s Office Building Gets LEED Certified!
May 10, 2018 Crystal Leaver
Smith Tower

One of the best thing about working for EnergySavvy in Seattle is our office! EnergySavvy’s Seattle office is located on the 19th floor of Smith Tower. The landmark was completed in 1914 and at the time was the first skyscraper in Seattle and tallest building west of the Mississippi. Not only does the building offer a glimpse into Seattle’s history with an elaborate lobby and original decor, but offers sweeping views of the Puget Sound from our lunchroom.

And it gets even better … Smith Tower was awarded LEED® Gold certification this month! Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC®) evaluates and promotes a healthy, productive and efficient environment for building occupants. The certification measures energy usage, water usage, air quality, site development, and waste and recycling.

As we help utilities and their customers save energy, it’s exciting to know that as a company, we are also able to have a better environmental footprint and great work environment!
