Details
Contractors that have this certification are typically required to have BPI Certification training and are approved by a local program coordinator. Usually that coordinator is a local utility. Regardless of the specific program rules that a local utility creates for the program, it's generally safe to say that contractors with this certification are committed to the whole home approach to energy efficiency that is the most effective way to save money, conserve energy and increase comfort and safety in your home.
This certification is not offered nationwide — it is only available in certain regions where utilities have sponsored it. If you don't see any contractors in your area that have this certification, just look for contractors with BPI Certified Professionals or are BPI Accredited Companies.
