At EnergySavvy you'll help transform the way utilities and governmental organizations run efficiency programs to help their customers save energy. The benefits of saving energy are pretty well known, but we’ll name a few just for fun: saving homeowners money, reducing green house gases, energy independence, etc. Turns out, going to work every day is a lot easier when you know you’re doing something to make the world a better place.
You'll work on challenging technical problems—from analytics and algorithms to flexible yet scalable software—with people who care about building great products and advancing the industry. Our culture encourages open collaboration and idea sharing – no matter what “department” you’re in.
EnergySavvy is based in Seattle, Washington, the land of coffee, software and outdoor activities. It's a great place to live and work. In addition to our Seattle headquarters, we have a Boston office to serve our East Coast clients.
Developer Friendly Culture
Developers at EnergySavvy play an integral part of the planning and design process. We code in Python, deploy in a single click and run continuous integration unit tests. Our servers run Linux, and our developers run Mac, Linux or Windows. Most importantly, we work with clients to deliver the highest quality code and UX in the industry.
We enjoy a cube-free open layout with high ceilings and loads of natural light in the historic Washington Shoe Building located in Seattle’s Pioneer Square. On the East Coast, we’re surrounded by smart tech companies in the Cambridge Innovation Center located in Kendall Square.
Lunch Is On Us
Don't worry, it's not Ramen every day. We keep our kitchen stocked with snacks and drinks, and we order from a medley of Seattle restaurants: Indian, Thai, sushi and sandwiches just to name a few.
We work hard. We have high expectations. But death marches suck. We know that it takes balanced and rested people to do great work and hit the high notes.
We make time for fun. Previous outings include a day trip to West Seattle, the Pacific Science Center, and a Capitol Hill scavenger hunt ending with food and drinks at a neighborhood bar. And of course, we throw a “beer and board games” night in here and there to keep things interesting.
Our Pioneer Square office at 2nd and Jackson is a short walk from the Seattle Sounders, Mariners and Seahawks - perfect for catching a game after work. It's also great for commuters - just steps away from King Street Station and other major transit routes.
Life happens, and we all get sick sometimes. EnergySavvy gives you a comprehensive health insurance plan including medical, dental and vision.
Enlightened Time Off Policy
You start with two weeks of vacation and earn more from there. We're very reasonable with sick and personal days as well.
We Love Kids
And if you make new ones, you can get parental leave: some paid, some unpaid and some part time.
