McMinnville Water & Light: Conservation Service Loan Program

McMinnville Water & Light offers financing to residential and commercial customers to make energy efficient improvements to eligible facilities and homes. Financing is available for pre-approved conservation measures only. For a list of approved measures and to set up a free energy audit, customers should contact MW&L. Financing amounts can range from $500 to $10,000, and customers can choose financing terms of 12, 24, 36, 48, and 60 months. The monthly payment is based on a whole dollar figure and will be included on the monthly utility bill. Loans over $5,000 must be secured by a Deed of Trust. For each application, a $50 service charge for residential loans, and a $100 service charge for commercial loans will be assessed. The service charge can be included in the amount financed. Some eligible measures include: weatherization measures (such as adding ceiling, floor, and wall insulation or replacing windows), upgrading current electrical heating system (installing an efficient air source heat pump), and for commercial customers, retrofitting existing lighting systems.
