Dayton Power and Light offers rebates to residential customers who purchase and install energy efficient products for the home. Eligible systems and measures include heat pumps, air conditioning systems, HVAC tune-ups, lighting, and recycled appliances. Customers are encouraged to properly recycle old or inefficient freezers and refrigerators through the appliance recycling rebate program which offers $25 per unit. CFL light bulbs are also eligible for an instant discount when purchased at a participating store. See program web site for a list of participating stores.

Rebates of $100 - $600 are also available for new heat pumps and air conditioning systems in new construction, replacing broken systems or replacing systems which need upgrading to a higher efficiency. Rebate levels vary depending upon whether the new system is part of new construction, a replacement for a broken system or is simply replacing a less efficient model. Credit will be automatically placed on the contractor invoice at the time of purchase. A $25 credit is also available to offset the cost of HVAC tune-ups for eligible customers. See program web site listed above for other program details including participating contractors.
