The New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission offers rebates of 30% of the installed cost of qualifying new residential bulk-fed, wood-pellet central heater boilers or furnaces. The maximum rebate is $6,000. To qualify, systems must be (1) installed after April 14, 2010; (2) at least 80% efficient; (3) meet certain air quality standards; and (4) installed by a qualified installer or a licensed plumber with wood-pellet central boiler system training. Additional system requirements are specified in the program application. Modifications to existing systems are not eligible to receive funding under this program.

To receive a rebate, applicants must submit a pre-approval application to ensure funding availability. After receiving verification of eligibility and securing a place in the funding queue, applicants have three months to complete the installation. Applicants must submit a final rebate request and required documentation after the system installation is complete.

This program is funded by the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The program will expire when all funds are committed.
