Cuivre River Electric Cooperative offers its residential customers rebates for clothes washers, dishwashers, water heaters, and heat pumps. To be eligible for the Home Appliance Program, dishwashers and clothes washers must be Energy Star rated and water heaters must have an Energy Factor of 0.90 or higher. The appliance must be replacing an older unit and be used in conjunction with an electric water heater to qualify for these rebates. The Home Appliance Rebate Form must be submitted along with a copy of the original dated sales receipt within 90 days of the equipment purchase date.
Geothermal heat pumps are eligible for a $750/ton rebate if being installed for the first time, and for a $150/ton rebate if they are replacing an existing geothermal heat pump. Replacement of an existing geothermal heat pump must be necessary due to failure of the unit, and must achieve a gain in efficiency of at least 3 EER. Dual Fuel Air-source heat pumps, with supplemental gas or propane heat, can receive a $150/ton rebate. Heat pump installations which receive rebates may be subject to Cuivre River Electric Cooperative's load control program.
