City Utilities of Springfield Missouri provides incentives for residential customers to increase the efficiency of eligible homes. Rebates are available for programmable thermostats, energy audits, insulation upgrades, whole home upgrades and HVAC equipment. The HVAC rebates are available for single- and multi-family residential customers, as well as new home builders. Some rebates may vary based upon the efficiency of the purchased equipment. All equipment must meet minimum efficiency requirements to receive rebate.
Energy audits are offered by City Utilities at a reduced price. An energy professional will assess the energy usage of participating homes and determine where energy is being wasted. Each participant also receives a water heater insulation blanket, a kitchen faucet aerator, a low-flow showerhead and a high-efficiency compact fluorescent light bulb. Interested customers should see the program web site for more information about these rebates and other incentives.
