Minnesota Valley Electric Cooperate customers can receive $25 rebates on ENERGY STAR clothes washers, freezers and refrigerators. And if customers participate in the Energy Wise Off-Peak Program, they can receive even more rebates on in ENERGY STAR rated equipment.
The equipment eligible for the Energy Wise program includes:
- Air-Source Heat Pumps: $500
- Ground-Source Heat Pumps: $200/ton up to 5 tons
- Electric Resistant Equipment: $10/kilowatt
- Clothes Washer: $25
- Dishwasher: $25
- Freezer/Refrigerator: $25
- Mini-Split Heat Pump: $25
- Electric Resistant Heating Products: $10 perkW
If you want to participate in the Energy Wise Off-Peak Program, you have to commit for a minimum of one year. Also, a Quality Installation certified contractor must install air-source heat pumps.
How to take advantage of these rebates:
- Download one of the following rebate applications and read the instructions provided: ENERGY STAR Appliances, Ground-Source Heat Pump or Electric Resistant Equipment.
- Let EnergySavvy connect you with a professional contractor who can properly install your new equipment.
- Make sure to pay attention to the time limits for each application. For example, the appliance rebates must be postmarked within 90 days after purchase.
