Solar hot water, photovoltaic and wind energy systems are exempt from local and state property taxes. This means that if you install a solar or wind systems to power or heat your home, your property taxes will not be increased.
How to take advantage of this incentive:
When your property value is assessed, the assessor will not include the value of your solar hot water, PV or wind system in the overall property value.
