JEA is offering rebates for home energy efficiency improvements through the ShopSmart with JEA program. Appliance rebates are claimed through a mail-in rebate form, available on the program web site. Rebates are valid for equipment purchased after December 1, 2009 and before September 31, 2012. Rebate requests must be postmarked by October 31, 2012. CFL rebates are deducted immediately at the point of sale. Customers should click here to find a participating retailer, and look for the ShopSmart with JEA logo to receive a discount.
In order to receive rebates for window tinting, heat pumps, or central air conditioners, interested customers should contact a pre-qualified contractor to perform an assessment. Contractors will provide instant rebates clearly indicated on the customer’s invoice. Residential customers are also eligible for a variety of home energy audits or energy evaluations, as well as duct repairs. Information is available on the program web site.
