Volusia County has established a new incentive program that fast-tracks permits and reduces fees for the construction and remodeling of green buildings. The Green Building Program is voluntary but available to all new residential or commercial construction or remodeling and land development.
Rebate levels for application fees are as follows:
- Residential building permits: $600
- Commercial building permits: $1,500
- Land development applications: $2,500
The program will expire in 2012 or when the funds are expended.
