Saving Energy Seattle will perform energy audits on your home to show you how to make your house more energy efficient. We thoroughly evaluate all aspects of energy-usage in your home. We do blower door tests for air leakage through the perimeter of your house. We also perform tests to determine air leakage through your duct system both a visual and thermal inspection of insulation leakage and potential moisture intrusion.
During your home assessment, we will perform a series of diagnostic tests to help pinpoint problems and opportunities for home performance improvement. We will provide you with a complete report on your home’s energy efficiency.
In our report, we will summarize, and prioritize the solutions which will give you the best return on your investment. For instance, of all the services we provide, air sealing and duct sealing are probably the most cost effective. By reducing the amount of uncontrolled air leaking in or out of your house, your heating system and overall energy efficiency can be improved by 20% to 40%.
In addition to this energy report will also provide you with options and costs for retrofitting your home problems to give you energy savings solutions. We will discuss with you all improvement options whether big or small.
