TLAQK Contracting Services, LLC is a 10 year old residential home building company specializing in the construction, renovating and providing energy efficiency measures for homes in the Upstate of South Carolina.  A company and operated by Lester A. Johnson and Tammy Johnson both committed to producing a seamless project with planning and logistics to meet clients needs. TLAQK also understands the necessity of reacting to clients and reducing costs; therefore TLAQK Contracting Services, LLC has taken steps to reduce waste & time through continuously improvements of purchasing and work flow processes.  Utilizing industry best practices to reduce raw material costs and educating the teams that works with them to pass the cost savings along to their clients.  Lester has established himself as an integral part of the Building & Science Community and holds many technical certifications and degrees which include Licensed Homebuilder in SC, A.S. Degree in Construction Engineering at GTC in Greenville SC, A.S. Degree in Machine Tool & Industrial Maintenance from STC in Spartanburg SC, BPI CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL Building Analyst & Envelope, SC Hot Climate Weatherization and EPA LLRP.


Tammy Johnson has 20 years of experience and a strong background in Supply Chain & Logistics in Manufacturing/Industrial and Building Industries. More specifically, Tammy is dedicated in getting the 'best product for the best cost" by using Project planning and managing projects for long term client security. Tammy holds a list of certification to include: A.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering at STC in Spartanburg SC, EPA LLRP, SC Hot Climate Weatherization Technician, APICS, and Six-Sigma Greenbelt.


TLAQK has completed 10 home rehabs and 10 demolitions for Spartanburg County (ED) in 2010.  TLAQK has also rehabbed well over 300 apartments for SHA since 2008. TLAQK has been a contractor with the Piedmont Community Actions partnered with Department of Energy (DOE) since April of 2009. With the PCA/DOE TLAQK has weatherized 100 site built & mobile homes, 60 multi-family Public housing units in Cherokee & Spartanburg counties. TLAQK also rehabs vacant unit apartments for Fair Market Multi-family units in the upstate.  We believe that outstanding design, quality materials, and unparalleled customer service are the essential ingredients necessary to deliver a home of lasting value.
