Wolfworks is a group of experienced residential designers and builders in Avon, CT who know how to work with people who value thoughtful design and careful craft. We love this work. And we care about what we create.

We believe in the power of design. When we talk about design, we’re not just talking about style. We’re talking about an engaged process to identify and understand a problem, then using our imagination and experience to collaboratively discover a solution and execute it. Our aim is to create homes that fit.

The idea behind “homes that fit” is derived from over three decades working to help people make good homes better. What we’ve learned is that for too many people, the home they live in is not always the home they love. But they’d like to. Its just that in one way or another, their home doesn’t quite fit.

“Homes that fit” also means that we should aspire to dwell in spaces that are not just efficient, but sufficient. In other words, we strive to put every square foot to work, functionally and aesthetically. Our first goal is always to make the best use of the space you have. If we need to create more, and sometimes we do, then we think creatively about how to do that without unwittingly orphaning existing space or constructing more than we need.

And finally, we believe that homes that fit must also be homes that work. This focus on the home’s performance pays special attention to the resources it consumes. We expect to develop projects that are “future friendly.
