 Home Energy Performance:

Hybrid Home Performance is a building performance assessment, audit and retrofit company with more than 30 years of green restoration experience.  With our auditing service we analyze a building, utilizing the latest in building science and advanced technical sampling to identify areas of concern, energy losses, and even possible health and safety hazards.

A Whole House Audit will provide you with a thorough and comprehensive report that is the ground work for a plan to make your home comfortable, improve your indoor air quality, increase the lifespan of your home, lower your heating and cooling utility bills, reduce your carbon footprint, and address your base load or habitual energy usage.

The Initial Assessment Includes:

 1.  A thorough discussion of your needs and concerns in your home or by phone if you prefer.

 2.  A study of the energy history of your home or building.

 3.  A walk around and viewing of the perimeter of your home or building including a garage.

 4.  An initial tour of the home interior, recording temperatures and humidity in each.

 5.  Recording your heating and/or cooling equipment maker size and model numbers.

 6.  Recording the register size, air volumes, flows and temperature variation of your installed air conditioning and/or heating appliances in each room of your home.

 7.  Visually analyzing and recording the quantity and performance of your attic insulation.

 8.  A post assessment discussion of findings

 9.  A written submission of findings including how much heating, cooling and base load energy you’re paying verses how much is lost in inefficiency.

10.  Submit bid for full audit.

The Full Audit Includes:

11.  All of the items in an initial assessment.

12.  Provide a thorough exterior inspection, looking for moisture issues, gas leaks, hazardous conditions, and other concerns.

13.  Provide a crawl space inspection, checking insulation levels and looking for moisture issues, gas leaks, hazardous conditions and other concerns.

14.  Utilizing a blower door fan to measure and calculate the actual air leakage (or infiltration) of the building to/from the outside.

15.  Utilizing a duct fan to measure and calculate the actual air leakage through the duct walls along with the resistance to air flow through your duct system.

16.  Measure and compare internal pressure in the heating/cooling systems to the manufacturer’s recommendations.

17.  Investigate the existing ventilation present and calculate the minimum ventilation needed for your home.

18.  Analyze the combustion performance of your homes appliances, and heating equipment, including the water heater, furnace, gas stove, gas oven, gas fireplace and check carbon monoxide levels of each.

19.  Analyze appliance energy load.
