EnergySavvy Expands in the Pacific Northwest

This spring has been an exciting time for home energy efficiency in the Pacific Northwest and at EnergySavvy: new customers, new team members and growing like crazy.

New Customers Go Live!

EnergySavvy software is behind two new energy efficiency programs that have just launched in the Northwest: Clean Energy Works Oregon, a statewide home energy upgrade program in Oregon that offers financing up to $30,000 for whole-home retrofits and Community Power Works, an intensive city effort by the City of Seattle to encourage home retrofits through carbon reduction-based rebates of up to $3,000.

Together, the two programs, both funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), plan to retrofit 8,000 homes over the next two years. And in the process, create jobs, enable homeowners to save energy and money, and reduce the carbon footprint of the region.

Running effective home energy upgrade programs like these mean dealing with complex information management problems such as contractor project tracking, web services integration for banks and other lenders, and capturing and analyzing data to allow program administrators to maximize cost effective energy savings. EnergySavvy is thrilled to be a part of both programs and to help continue the region’s leadership in the energy efficiency and green technology fields.

The EnergySavvy Team Grows – 2 New Positions Added

In the past few months, we’ve added four amazing new team members from local companies including Microsoft, Redfin, the University of Washington and others. Even with this rapid team growth, we’re announcing two new positions.

  1. Recent University CS Graduate
  2. We are looking to hire a recent Computer Science graduate either just out of school or with up to two years of experience. This is a big opportunity for a rising star to apply their CS education and make a difference in the real world. Why spend years fighting to get recognition and have your voice heard at one of the big tech empires? At EnergySavvy, you will be in the game on Day One.

  3. Experienced Developer
  4. We’re looking for an experienced developer with stellar Python, Django or Ruby on Rails programming chops.  Our ideal candidate has solid programming experience with a steady progression of growth and a commitment to developing beautiful applications that our customers will love.

We do all our web development in Django and Python. Don’t know Django? Chances are, if you are a Ruby on Rails programmer or have experience with other MVC frameworks, you’ll love Django and pick it up fast!

If you don’t fit these exact criteria, no worries. We are always exited to meet great talent. If you are good at what you do, take pride in your work, love to learn and want to make an impact… we want to hear from you. Check out all details on jobs at EnergySavvy.
