We Recruit the Best
At EnergySavvy, we are dedicated to home energy efficiency. Our focus allows us to work closely with the relatively small group of contractors nationwide who really understand home energy testing and retrofits and are dedicated to performing the job the right way. Those are the professionals that we recruit for our network. Additionally, we work closely with well-respected energy efficiency contractor trade associations such as Efficiency First and Home Performance Washington — organizations that actively promote whole home energy efficiency.
We Prescreen All Our Contractors
We won't work with just any contractor. Every contractor that signs up for EnergySavvy is screened by one of our staff to verify energy efficiency training, certifications and associations. Contractors do pay to be listed on our site, but we'll only work with reputable, quality contractors that are focused on home energy efficiency. A contractor can't buy their way past this quality check, and if we learn that there have been problems with a contractor's work, we take them out of our network.
We Put You in Control
The best way to get good results from your home energy upgrades is to research your project and the contractors you may work with. Our site is designed to arm you with the information you need to be educated on the tricks behind an efficient home and with the questions that you should ask any contractor doing work on your house. We actively encourage our contractors to describe themselves, to share their philosophy and to accurately represent the industry certifications they hold that are meaningful for energy efficiency. Throughout our site, we highlight and explain these certifications.
