What loans and rebates are available for replacing my windows in Massachusetts?

Massachusetts residents can take advantage of a wide range of incentives, including rebates, loans and tax credits, for upgrading their windows.

Rebates
Berkshire Gas will cover 75 percent of the cost up to $1,500 for replacing windows and making other weatherization improvements. Through National Grid’s Residential (Gas) Energy Efficiency Program, you can get $10 per window replaced.

Loans
MassSAVE offers a loan of up to $15,000 for replacing windows. This loan has a 0 percent interest rate with terms up to seven years.

Tax Credits
The federal government offers the Residential Energy Efficiency Tax Credit equal to 30 percent of the cost of ENERGY STAR windows for up to $1,500.
