I purchased a new tank water heater on March 3, 2010. Does this qualify for a rebate?

To the best of our knowledge, we do not know of any water heater rebates that you are eligible for. Unfortunately, you were a little over a month too early for the statewide Residential Energy Efficiency Appliance Rebate program.

However, you may qualify for the U.S. government’s Residential Energy Efficiency Tax Credit. In order for your gas, oil or electric water heater to be eligible, it must have an Energy Factor of at least 0.82 or a thermal efficiency of at least 90 percent. If you qualify for this rebate, the tax credit will include installation costs.
