If you’re a Franklin County PUD customer, you may be eligible for a $70 ENERGY STAR clothes washer rebate. To receive the rebate, you will need to have an electric water heater and electric dryer. If you have either a gas water heater or gas dryer, you can still get a $20 rebate on an ENERGY STAR clothes washer.

It doesn’t matter what brand you buy, it just needs to be ENERGY STAR certified. Here's more information about the Franklin County PUD rebates.

Also, starting April 1, 2010, Washington state will offer $100 rebates on ENERGY STAR clothes washers. The funding, which was made available by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, will be limited on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Contact Franklin PUD to find out if you can use both rebates for one clothes washer. There are no rebates available for dryers at this time.
