Wyoming will be starting a mail-in rebate program next month for energy efficient washers. They haven't yet announced all the details, but here's a link to the government website with a little bit of information.
As far as tax credits go, clothes washers and dryers do not qualify for the Federal Residential Energy Efficiency Tax Credit, but there may still be a way for you to take advantage of the credit. If you live in an older home, it may be time to add some insulation to your floor, walls or attic. Insulation is eligible for a 30 percent credit of up to $1,500.
Also, if you’re a Black Hills Power customer and you need a new water heater, air conditioner or other appliance, you may be able to qualify for both the federal tax credit and an appliance rebate from Black Hills Power.
