I recently increased my home's energy efficiency by having my attic sealed, as well as replacing our attic's poor fiberglass bat system with a higher insulation R value cellulose layer; all performed by a certified contractor. Are the rebates available for this work?

If you participated in a home energy audit through Public Service of New Hampshire's Home Energy Solutions program prior to making improvements, you could be eligible for a rebate equal to 50 percent of the cost of improvements up to $4,000. The $100 audit fee is refunded to customers who implement at least one recommended energy efficiency improvement of at least $450, including, but not limited to, attic, basement or wall insulation. To be eligible for a rebate, the work must be completed by a program contractor.

Also, energy-efficient home improvements, such as insulation upgrades, can be eligible for a tax credit equal to 10 percent of equipment costs up to $500.
