If you are a Consumers Energy gas customer at your secondary residence in Montague, Michigan, you may be able to participate in their heating and cooling rebate program. Natural gas boilers with a 90-percent AFUE value or higher qualify for a rebate of $300.

Additional home improvements, such as upgrading your insulation and air sealing, could help retain the heat output of your new gas boiler and, therefore, further improve your home's heating efficiency. These improvements in energy-efficiency could make your home more comfortable and reduce energy bills. DTE Energy's Energy Savings program offers rebates of $500 to $1,350 per home on several energy- efficiency improvements, including insulation, air-sealing and windows. The higher rebate value listed above is available when you complete a qualifying home energy audit. To qualify for the program, MichCon must be your primary heating fuel supplier.
