If you're a resident of the City of Tallahassee, you may be eligible for a $350 or $700 rebate depending on whether you upgraded to a natural gas furnace from an electrical heat source or replaced an existing natural gas furnace.

Also, if you haven't taken advantage of it yet, the federal government offers an energy efficiency tax credit equal to 10 percent of a furnaces with a 95 percent efficiency rating or higher and high efficiency central air conditioners. The maximum credit for gas furnaces is $150, and the maximum credit for air conditioners is $300.
