Through the MassSave program, you may be eligible for a no-interest loan of up to $15,000 for replacing your windows with ENERGY STAR models. Besides installing energy efficient windows in Boston, this loan also covers other energy efficiency measures such as insulation and hot water heaters.

Both the federal tax credit and the MassSave program offer incentives for other energy efficiency measures such as insulation, air sealing, heating equipment replacements and more. These measures are often more cost effective than replacing windows because the cost of windows compared to the savings from replacing them is often not worth it. However, if you’re replacing your windows for other reasons than energy efficiency alone, purchasing energy-efficient models is well worth it.
