What rebates or other incentives are there for installing an efficient air conditioner and heating unit in Kansas? I'm also interested in energy audits and insulation.

If you’re looking for a way to finance your new efficient air conditioner and heating unit, check out the Efficiency Kansas Revolving Loan Program. The loan of up to $20,000 is available to homeowners at a low-interest rate with terms of up to 15 years. To qualify, homeowners must first get an in-home energy audit.

Additionally, the federal government offers an energy efficiency income tax credit equal to 30 percent up to $1,500 of the cost of certain energy efficiency improvements. Eligible improvements include efficient air conditioners, high efficiency heating systems and insulation.
