How do I take advantage of KCP&L's Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program?

Homeowner in Kansas City, MO (Posted on May 16, 2011)

If you're a KCP&L customer living in Missouri, you may be eligible to take part in KCP&L's Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program. By participating in the program, you'll take a whole-home approach to making your home more energy efficient.

To get started, you'll need to get a home energy evaluation performed by a certified Home Performance with ENERGY STAR consultant or contractor. Based on the assessment, you'll receive a list of recommendations on how to make your home more energy efficient.

To qualify for the Home Energy Assessment rebate, equal to $400/unit for single-family homes, you'll need to complete at least one of the upgrades recommended by your consultant or contractor. By completing these recommended upgrades, you may also be eligible for additional rebates. For example, you could receive as much as $500 for insulating your attic and up to $400 for air sealing your home.

KCP&L Rebate Application form provides additional information on how to participate in the program and apply for the rebate.
