The U.S. government offers a residential federal tax credit equal to 30 percent up to $1,500 of the material costs for installing insulation. This credit also applies to other energy efficiency measures such as installing high efficiency HVAC equipment, energy efficient windows and more.

Additionally, SoCalGas customers can apply for energy efficiency loans of up to $20,000 for efficiency upgrades including attic insulation. Additionally, Burbank Water and Power offers rebates of $0.15 per square foot of attic insulation.
