Are there energy rebates for window treatments? If so would Comfortex double cell cordless qualify? If answer is yes, how do we claim energy rebate?

Thanks for your interest in home energy efficiency. Unfortunately, there are no rebates in your area for window treatments right now, but that doesn't mean they're not a good idea. Reflective interior window treatments can block between 80% (white opaque roller shades) and 40% (white venetian blinds) of solar heat hitting the window from entering. If you're in a sunny, hot climate, you can save serious money on air conditioning in the summer.

While there aren't any rebates that apply from the government or utility right now, there are a few other programs that offer incentives to encourage home energy efficiency if you're considering other upgrades.

The federal government offers an efficiency tax credit for 30 percent of costs for high-efficiency heat pumps, insulation, furnaces, air conditioners, doors, roofs and more. The maximum credit is $1,500. If you would like to learn more, visit this energy tax credit page for more information.
