In Mesa County, CO, there are a couple of rebate programs that you may be able to take advantage of if you upgrade to an energy efficient gas furnace.

The statewide Recharge Colorado program offers rebates to homeowners who purchase and install certain energy efficient appliances, heating equipment and weatherization materials. ENERGY STAR certified condensing gas furnaces with AFUE values of 92 percent or greater are eligible for a rebate of $500.

Unfortunately, there are currently no funds remaining in Mesa County, CO for gas condensing furnace rebates. However, you still have the option of submitting a rebate reservation, completing the work on your home, and submitting the rebate verification paperwork. If funds become available due to expired reservations, and your paperwork has been received and approved, you may receive a rebate.

Also, if you are a SourceGas customer, you may be able to take advantage of the Excess is Out Program, which provides rebates ranging from $25 to $1,000 on energy efficient appliances and equipment, including gas furnaces. To qualify for a rebate of $200, furnaces must have AFUE values ranging from 92 to 93.9 percent, and to qualify for a rebate of $300, furnaces must have AFUE values of 94 percent or greater. Furnaces must also be one of the qualifying models approved by the program.
